Now hiring a recovery-oriented system of care coordinator

POSITION TYPE: Full-time (Grant-funded position)

JCHD is accepting resumes for a full-time Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) Coordinator.

JCHD is seeking a dedicated and community-focused ROSC Council Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of local recovery efforts. This position will oversee the Jersey County ROSC Council. The coordinator will bring together stakeholders, reduce stigma, improve access to services, and promote a recovery-ready community for individuals impacted by substance use.

This is an exciting opportunity to build a lasting system of care in a rural community facing high rates of opioid use, limited access to treatment, and persistent stigma. The successful candidate will be an energetic collaborator with strong organizational and facilitation skills, able to engage diverse community partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly ROSC Council meetings

  • Lead implementation of strategies to reduce stigma, improve service connections, and address transportation barriers

  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with law enforcement, schools, treatment providers, hospitals, and community organizations

  • Oversee development of warm handoff protocols between key agencies

  • Coordinate public education events and community outreach

  • Track and report on grant-related performance measures and SMART goals

  • Serve as the liaison between JCHD, the ROSC Council, and IDHS/SUPR

  • Promote equity, inclusion, and recovery-oriented language and practices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in community engagement, human services, behavioral health, or substance use recovery

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

  • Comfortable working with diverse populations, including those with lived experience

  • Lived experience with recovery or familiarity with recovery systems is valued but not required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required—relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email communication, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom)

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
